Team IMUA tryouts

2019-2020 Club Season

IMUA Volleyball Club will be hosting our Team IMUA junior girls tryouts for the 2019-20 club season. Team IMUA Tryouts will be held on Sunday November 3, 2019 and will be open to all girls interested in playing club volleyball either on our "Hybrid Premier" or "Power" teams or "National Traveling Teams".

IMUA Volleyball Club will provide all athletes and parents guidance through the season with the college recruiting process, assist with promotion to college coaches and universities, and help with recruiting  college profile.

Regional Hybrid/ Premier Teams:
Our IMUA Regional Hybrid/ Premier teams are team focused first and foremost than athlete.  Our coach(s) manage playtime in a manner that supports the development of traits and skills that help athletes learn to control their success. Hybrid/ Premier teams will compete in the NCVA California Kickoff, NCVA Premier League, NCVA President's Day, and either the Golden State Qualifiers or No Dinx Far Western Junior National Qualifier Tournament.  Hybrid/ Premier teams are coached by one qualified coach.

Premier League involves some travel. However, the NCVA tries to keep each team within a 90 minute radius. Premier League means you play teams that live in your general area. You are more likely to play the same teams during the course of the season because Premier League does not have divisions that change. These tournaments are one (1) day only and are not required. The Region Championship is two (2) days and your team must have played in two (2) out of the four (4) one (1) day League Tournaments to qualify.

Regional Power Teams:
Our IMUA Regional Power teams are team focused first and foremost than athlete.  Our coaches manage playtime in a manner that supports the development of traits and skills that help athletes learn to control their success.  Power teams teams athletes to make greater commitments and develop habits that will maximize their abilities.  Power teams will compete in the NCVA California Kickoff, NCVA Power League, NCVA President's Day, and No Dinx Far Western Junior National Qualifier Tournament.  Power teams are coached by two qualified coaches.

Power League is a traveling league. Many teams opt to play Power League for the opportunity to play teams from all over Northern California. By playing Power League, these teams also have the opportunity to earn a Region Bid to the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships. Power League consists of seven (7) one (1) and two (2) day tournaments over the span of three (3) or four (4) months. All Power League Tournaments are mandatory. The league begins with a two (2) day qualifier (held in Convention Centers) followed by three (3) one (1) day leagues tournaments and then a two (2) day Region Championship (also held in Convention Centers).

National Teams:
Our IMUA competitive national  teams are team focused first and foremost than athlete.  Our national teams will put team goals before all else and are managed with a performance based playtime standard designed by coaches.  Which means the best athlete for the task will play and all other athletes must be ready and willing to support the team's goal before personal agendas.  Our elite national teams will compete at all national qualifying college recruiting events.  National teams will compete in the NCVA California Kickoff, NCVA Power League, Triple Crown or Las Vegas Classic (Not including 14u team), Pacific Northwest Junior National Qualifiers, No Dinx Far Western Junior National Qualifiers and SCVA Junior National Qualifiers.  Other tournaments that are options and may be substituted are the Colorado Crossroad Junior National Qualifiers and Texas Lone Star Junior National Qualifiers. National teams are coached by two qualified coaches.  All Junior National Qualifying tournaments are pending and will be established by our tryouts date in November.
