2026–2027 TEAM IMUA TRYOUTS
IMUA Volleyball Club is excited to officially announce our 2026–2027 Girls Travel Team Tryouts and Pre-Tryout Open Gym Schedule.
Tryouts for our 15U–18U teams will take place on July 24–25, 2026.
In preparation for tryouts, IMUA will also host a series of Pre-Tryout Open Gyms on:
- Monday, July 20
- Tuesday, July 21
- Thursday, July 23
TIME SCHEDULE:
17U–18U: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
15U–16U: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM
PACKAGE INCLUDES:
- All (3) Open Gym / Pre-Tryout Sessions
- Official IMUA Tryout Registration
- Early Athlete Evaluation Opportunities
- High-Repetition Competitive Training
- Direct Instruction & Evaluation from IMUA Coaches
PRE-TRYOUT/ OPEN GYM:
- $20 = Monday, July 20
- $20 = Tuesday, July 21
- $20 = Thursday, July 23
Total Individual Value for Pre-Outs and Tryouts: $100
Early Registration Fee: $65

These training sessions are designed to help athletes become familiar with the IMUA coaching staff, training environment, and competitive culture prior to official tryouts.
Pre-Tryout Open Gyms are highly recommended for all athletes interested in joining Team IMUA, as they provide valuable opportunities for skill development, competitive play, and early athlete evaluations by our coaching staff.
Athletes will have the opportunity to train, compete, build confidence, and showcase their abilities in a positive, high-energy environment before final team selections are made.

IMPORTANT TRYOUT INFORMATION
Due to limited gym capacity and to help provide a focused evaluation environment for all athletes, all tryout and pre-tryout sessions will be CLOSED to parents and spectators.
If your daughter is selected for one of our IMUA travel teams, there will be a mandatory parent-athlete meeting immediately following tryouts.
Athletes not selected during initial evaluations will be invited to attend one of our scheduled make-up tryout sessions listed below.

- Check-in and registration.
- Tryouts will begin immediately after checking in all participants.
- Mandatory meeting to go over club season (At least one parent will need to be present).
- Athletes will be offered spots on our teams and verbal commitment will be accepted. No club is allowed to sign any athletes until Wednesday, July 29, 2026. IMPORTANT: It is illegal to sign the letter of commitment form prior to this date.
- Our Team IMUA mandatory commitment signing meeting for all parents and athlete. Date: Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Time: 6-9pm. Location: Notre Dame High School (Main Gym), 455 Palma Drive, Salinas, 93901.
IMPORTANT — To finalize your athlete’s placement, we will complete the following:
A) Letter of Commitment.
B) Nonrefundable Down Payment — A $1,500 or $1,000 tuition deposit is required by this date to confirm and secure your athlete’s spot with IMUA Volleyball Club for the 2027 travel season.
C) Uniform Fitting.

IMUA Satellite Traveling Teams – Peninsula & South County
Are you ready to take your game to the next level—without the long drive? IMUA Volleyball Club is proud to launch our Satellite Traveling Teams in both the Peninsula and South County areas!
These teams bring the IMUA experience closer to home, making it easier than ever for athletes and families to train, compete, and grow as part of the IMUA ʻohana. Players will benefit from top-tier coaching, competitive tournament play, and the same proven development system that has made IMUA one of the most respected clubs in Central California.

Regional Premier Teams (Tuition):
Premier League involves some travel. Premier League is broken into districts throughout Northern California. All teams in a particular district will compete against each other. The NCVA will make every attempt to acquire sites within a 90-minute travel time, but this cannot be guaranteed due to the league format. You are more likely to play the same teams during the course of the season because Premier League does not have divisions that change. These tournaments are one (1) day only and are not required. The Region Championship is two (2) days and your team must have played in two (2) out of the four (4) one (1) day League Tournaments to qualify.
Regional Power Teams (Tuition):
Power teams exemplify a collective approach, placing team objectives above individual achievements. Our coaches intricately manage playing time, expertly crafting competitive teams that prioritize the cultivation of crucial traits and skills. Acknowledging the potential for unequal playing time, they prioritize the formation of the most proficient team on the court, fostering a dynamic and competitive environment conducive to both individual growth and overall success.
The Power teams eagerly participate in renowned tournaments such as the NCVA California Kickoff, NCVA Power League, NCVA President's Day, and No Dinx Far Western Junior National Qualifier Tournament. These exceptional teams are under the guidance of two highly qualified coaches.
Our Power League is an exhilarating traveling experience, offering teams the opportunity to face opponents from across Northern California. By engaging in the Power League, teams not only showcase their skills but also vie for a coveted Region Bid to the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships. The league spans three to four months and comprises seven tournaments, including a two-day qualifier held in Convention Centers, three one-day league tournaments, and culminating in a two-day Region Championship, also hosted in Convention Centers. Attendance at all Power League Tournaments is mandatory, ensuring a commitment to excellence and a chance at national recognition.

Our elite national teams proudly compete in some of the country’s most prestigious Junior National Qualifying (JNQ) college recruiting events, including:

- SCVA Red Rave Junior National Qualifier, Las Vegas
- National Qualifying Tournament (Pending)
Each National team is led by two highly qualified and certified coaches, ensuring exceptional guidance, player development, and competitive success.
